Step-by-step workflow

How to use Copy Trading

Use the interface in this order so the output stays connected to the current market and your own decision process.

  1. 1

    Prepare the managed wallet

Open the wallet menu, choose Manage, and review Agent permissions. Approve the agent so the configured copy strategy can submit eligible Polymarket orders through the managed trading wallet.

Use Monster's Deposit trading funds flow to fund the trading wallet. Do not manually send ETH, USDC, USDT, or pUSD to a Monster wallet address. Follow the instructions shown in the live deposit flow and confirm the pUSD trading balance before creating a strategy.

  2. 2

    Research a trader before copying

Use Copy Trading's Discover and Leaderboard views, or open a specific supported wallet profile. Compare the trader's history, volume, wallet age, category concentration, open positions, and recent activity instead of relying on one headline profit number.

When the trader fits your research criteria, choose Copy Trade to open the strategy setup panel. Historical results do not guarantee that the trader's next position—or your copied entry—will perform the same way.

  3. 3

Name the strategy and choose a copy signal

Give the strategy a descriptive name so it is easy to identify later. Then choose the signal mode shown in the setup panel.

Standard reacts after supported leader activity is confirmed. Priority can react to earlier pending signals, which may arrive sooner but can also fail or change before confirmation. Choose the mode that matches your tolerance for execution uncertainty.

Choose the buy and sell sizing rules

Buy Mode controls how Monster sizes a copied entry. Percentage mirrors a percentage of the trader's position, Range adds minimum and maximum dollar limits, Fixed uses the same dollar amount, and Portfolio % mirrors the trader's pUSD allocation percentage.

Sell Mode controls the response when the copied trader sells. Choose Same %, Fixed, Custom %, or Manual, then review whether the exit behavior fits the buy-sizing rule and your available balance.

Set the advanced risk and market filters

Advanced Settings let you decide which categories and trades the agent can follow. Start with a total budget, then add the limits that prevent one position, thin market, poor entry, or long resolution window from dominating the strategy.

    • Category filter: include or exclude selected categories and markets
    • Budget, Max Per Market, and Max Per Trade: cap total and per-position exposure
    • Stop loss and Take profit: define optional exit thresholds relative to average entry
    • Entry Price and Max Slippage: limit acceptable execution prices
    • Min Volume, Min Liquidity, and Min Trigger: require stronger market and leader activity
    • Max Resolution and Copy Expiry: limit market duration and how long the strategy remains active
Copy Trading advanced settings for budget, exits, price, slippage, volume, and liquidity
Copy Trading category include and exclude filters
  6. 6

Monitor, edit, pause, and review the strategy

After the agent is active, use the Bots tab in Copy Trading to manage the strategy. The action menu lets you share, edit, pause or resume, and delete it.

Expand a strategy to review Active, Redeemable, and Closed positions. Active shows current copied positions, Redeemable shows resolved positions that may need a claim action, and Closed keeps the completed history available for review.

Copying a trader does not copy their results

Your entry price, fill, timing, position size, fees, liquidity, and slippage can differ from the original trader. Pending activity can change or fail, and historical performance can reverse. Keep every strategy within limits you choose and monitor it regularly.

Decision checklist

What to check before making your own decision

  • Is the managed wallet approved and funded through the live deposit flow?
  • Does the trader have enough relevant history and volume?
  • Which signal, buy, and sell modes fit the strategy?
  • Are budget, slippage, liquidity, and per-market limits set?
  • When will you pause, edit, or stop the strategy?
