How to use this calculator

Vigorish (vig), also called juice, is the commission sportsbooks charge on bets. It's built into the odds and represents the house edge. This calculator shows you exactly how much you're paying in vig on each bet.

How Vig Works

At -110 odds, you need to bet $110 to win $100. If the true odds were 50/50, you'd expect +100 (bet $100 to win $100). The difference is the vig—the price you pay for the privilege of betting.

The True Cost

On a $100 bet at -110, if fair odds are +100, you're paying about $4.76 in vig. Over 100 bets, that's nearly $500 in juice alone. Finding reduced vig (-105) can save you hundreds over time.

Reducing Your Vig

  • Shop for the best lines across multiple sportsbooks
  • Look for reduced juice promotions (-105 instead of -110)
  • Bet at sharp books with lower holds
  • Avoid high-vig markets like exotic props
